The most beautiful mountain crystal treasures from óur mining world!
We exhibit more than 750 of the most beautiful mineral types from the region of the Ziller Valley Alps and the Hohe Tauern ranges, which were formed around 30 million years ago in the depths of our planet.
As a particularly interesting attraction, we list the largest smoky quarzes of South Tyrol, as well as from a re-structured Alpine canyon, the most beautiful mountain crystal treasure in the world, coming from the mines of Prettau.
In our multi-media room, we explain the development of the minerals, how they were found and also about their healing powers. Be enchanted by the intensively reflecting light of some mountain crystals.
Opening hours:
April to October: daily from 9.30 a.m. to 12 noon and 3 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
November to march: daily from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
